Affiliate Disclosure And Privacy
How This Site Earns Money
El Yunque National Forest Tours lists 50 bookable tours, with from-prices running from $25 to $225, and every one of those listings connects to a booking platform through an affiliate link. When someone books through a link on this site, the platform pays a commission. The person booking pays exactly the same price as if they had found the tour on their own. Nothing is added at checkout for arriving here.
Tour links lead to GetYourGuide and Viator. A handful of hotel links point to Expedia through Travelpayouts, and one free walking tour is linked through GuruWalk on the blog page about visiting El Yunque without paying. That is the whole revenue picture. No tour operator pays for a listing, a review, a mention or a position. There are no sponsored posts and no paid write-ups anywhere on the site.
How Tours Get On This List
The criteria are mechanical rather than editorial. A tour earns a listing if three things hold: it can be booked from San Juan or the Rio Grande, Luquillo and Fajardo area, it shows a from-price, and it carries a rating together with its review count. That is how the list reached 50 tours. No operator can buy a higher position, and no operator has a route around the criteria.
The ratings and review counts displayed here are the platform listing's own figures, copied as shown. Prices are from-prices, which means the amount you actually pay can move with your date, the currency you are charged in and your group size. Most listings are priced per person. The ATV and UTV listings are the exception: those are priced per group of up to two. Whatever the listing page says at the moment you open it outruns anything written here, so treat the live listing as the authority and confirm details there.
Where Booking Happens
Nothing is booked on this site. There is no cart, no checkout form, no payment field, no date picker that reserves anything. This site is a directory: it describes the tours and points to the operator's listing on the booking platform, where the reservation, the payment, the cancellation and any schedule change are handled. If a tour time shifts or a refund is owed, the operator or the platform works it out with you directly.
It is also worth being plain about who this site is not. El Yunque National Forest Tours runs no tours, holds no permit for the forest, and is neither the US Forest Service nor a tour operator. There is no affiliation with the Forest Service, with any operator or with any booking platform. For official forest information, conditions and rules, the Forest Service is the source. For anything about a specific reservation, the booking page is.
What This Site Collects
There are no accounts here, no newsletter to sign up for, no payments, and no email collection of any kind. The site has deliberately skipped the machinery most travel sites use to gather visitors' details.
What does happen is narrow:
- An analytics tool counts page views, which site sent you here, and clicks on outbound booking links.
- An embedded map loads from a third party, so that provider sees the map request.
- The hosting provider keeps routine server logs, including IP addresses, to filter abuse. Those logs are not used for profiling.
No data is sold, no data is shared with advertisers, and no advertising pixels run on any page. If you want the fuller story of how the site came together and what it covers, see the about page.
Third-Party Scripts And Hosting
Three outside pieces touch a typical visit: the analytics tool, the embedded map and the hosting provider's servers. Each is described above, and none of them builds a profile of you as an individual traveler. The analytics tool records aggregate numbers, the map provider renders a map, and the host keeps logs for the unglamorous purpose of blocking abuse.
One practical point: the pages work with scripts disabled. The text, the tour descriptions, the from-prices and the links all load without JavaScript, so a stripped-down browser or a script blocker still gets you a usable site. The map and the analytics counter simply stay quiet.
What This Site Never Does
- Never takes a payment or processes a booking.
- Never sells placement, ranking or coverage to an operator.
- Never runs sponsored content or paid write-ups.
- Never collects emails, runs a newsletter or creates accounts.
- Never sells or shares visitor data, or fires advertising pixels.
- Never claims to be the Forest Service, an operator or a partner of any booking platform.
That list is short on purpose. A comparison site only works if the ranking reflects the criteria, not a payment, and if the prices shown match what the operator actually charges. The commission from the platform funds the work without changing a single number you see.
Your Choices And Contact
You control most of this with your own browser settings. Blocking scripts disables the analytics tool and the map. Blocking third-party requests cuts the outside connections to the host. A VPN or Tor changes what the server logs record. None of those choices breaks the site, because the pages were built to load either way.
Because there are no accounts or email lists, there is nothing to unsubscribe from and no profile to delete. If something looks wrong, a price that seems off, a listing that has vanished, a description that no longer matches the operator's page, say so. The contact page opens your own mail program with the address ready: /contact/. Corrections are welcome, especially on prices and departure points, since the live listings shift and a directory is only as good as its latest fix.
